HAZARDOUS LEAK OR SPILLAGE - MANAGEMENT

MAKE ALARM

1. Go to the nearest fire alarm call point and break the glass.
2. Go the nearest telephone and contact your internal security office, fire team or the local fire department.
3. Go to the front entrance of the building and wait for any emergency teams to arrive.

Pinpoint the location of the fire

4. When the fire team arrives, describe to them exactly where the fire is.
5. Do NOT re-enter the building until it is declared safe to do so.

1. Immediately stop what you were doing and respond to the alarm.
2. Listen out for the evacuation instructions from your fire or evacuation marshals.
3. Take all your valuables with you, i.e. wallet, handbag, briefcase, etc. but leave things such as laptop computers or any bulky objects behind.
4. Ladies should take off their high heels shoes and put on comfortable shoes.
5. Close all windows and doors as you leave the area.
6. Follow the evacuation route in a calm fashion, staying on the left hand side of the corridors where possible.
7. Report to the Assembly Point for Roll Call.

1. If you did not have any formal fire fighting training, do NOT try to extinguish the fire yourself.
2. Do NOT try to return to your desk or office while evacuation is in progress.
3. Do NOT leave the premises before you reported for Roll Call.
4. Do NOT go back into the building until it has been declared safe to do so.
5. Do NOT panic. Try to remain calm and do NOT run.
