2. If a person refused to be searched, they should be allowed to leave the premises without further consequence.
3. Whenever possible, a second officer should witness the search to provide verification and additional safety.
4. When a person is suspected of carrying unauthorised company property on their person, the individual should first be asked to remove or declare any such company property.
